The 2014 Utah VHF Society Swap Meet
Scheduled to occur on February 22, 2014
Scheduled to occur on February 22, 2014
It will start at 9 AM - one hour later than in past years.
The 2014 UVHFS swapmeet will be held at the same location as the 2013 swap meet - the Davis County Fairgrounds in Building #2 see the previous entry (link) for directions on getting to this new venue.
If you are a current Utah VHF Society member admission is free. It is highly recommended that you pre-pay your 2014 Utah VHF Society dues to minimize your standing in line, waiting to pay them at the door. For information on how to "re-up" your Utah VHF Society membership, go here - link.
If you are planning to sell something, you may arrive as early as 8 AM to set up. If you plan to sell something there will be a nominal charge for a table and/or floor space whether or not you are a Utah VHF Society member.
Admission: Free for VHF Society members, $5.00 for non members
Table: $5.00 for members/nonmembers - quantities are limited!
Floor space: $3.00 for members/nonmembers. If you do this, bring your own table... or not!
How to get there:
If you've never been to the Davis County Fairgrounds - or have forgotten details, one of the key landmarks is the intersection of 1100 West and Clark Lane - which is also 100 North. At this intersection you would go south a couple of blocks, following a white fence on your left.

A bit past this building there is a break in the fence where you can see two entrances onto a paved parking lot: Go into either entrance.
Once you are in the parking lot, find your way toward the south end and down there you'll see some more buildings and, hopefully, a bunch of cars with callsign license plates, strange-looking antennas and, possibly, strange-looking people hauling their valuable junque into a building!
What you are looking for is building #2 - a large, blue building with a flagpole out front and a large, white garage-type door.
When you park, please be conscious of the needs of those who require special access and of those who may be lugging in something that is particularly large and heavy, leaving enough space near the sidewalk for them to gain access.
Below, you will find a simple map showing the location of the fairgrounds and building #2 with respect to the other roads and the Davis County Sheriff's office to the east.
See you there!
